Here is the latest (updated end of October 2009) version of our proposals for a National Empty Homes Initiative, now including an introductory word from the Empty Homes Agency. This will be circulated to the press and relevant agencies.
This is the 2nd edition of this briefing paper on party political positions on empty homes, updated at the end of January 2010. This includes the recent LibDem announcement of manifesto policies around funding empty homes work. It also now includes a table comparing the offerings of the political parties with NAEPP's own proposals as contained in Creating a National Empty Homes Initiaitive.
This briefing paper will be circulated to MPs and other relevant organisations.
Held in the Shackleton Room at the Troubadour Club, Old Brompton Road, London. Unfortunately Bob Dylan, Paul Simon and Jimi Hendrix are no longer playing there. (Or fortunately, depending on your musical tases).
Reps from all regional fora welcome. The meeting starts at 11.00 but people often arrive earler. It will finish around 15.30. There'll be the usual working lunch - order your own from the bar.
The first part of the meeting will deal with business and the second part will be more poilcy oriented - where do we go from here following the abolition of BVPI64, the decision not to include empty properties in N170, EDMOs, the forthcoming decision on etc?
