South West Empty Homes Forum - Thursday 24 June 2010

I am pleased to let you know that we will be holding the Summer South West Empty Homes Forum on Thursday 24 June 2010.

This forum promises to be another informative and enjoyable event, with a good range of topics on the agenda. As well as the usual Agency reports, Sarah McNamara from South Gloucestershire Council will be speaking about her recent experiences of serving a final EDMO and having a property occupied and under management. We will also be joined by Neil Caddy of JNC Safety Services who specialise in CDM07 Regulations, which apply to renovation projects that will be longer than 30 days (on site) and notifiable to the Health and Safety Executive. Furthermore, there will be presentations from Angela Manchee of Bona Vacantia, who administer the estates of persons who die intestate without known kin, and a presentation on probate (speaker to be confirmed). In additon, I am hoping to provide a speaker to present on tendering for a management service for properties secured via an EDMO.

The summer forum will be held once again in the conference facilities at Sandy Park (Exeter Chiefs Rugby Club) after continuing positive feedback from previous forums. The venue is about a 10 minute walk from the Sowton & Digby train station and is set just off the M5 at junction 30. We hope that you will very much enjoy spending the day there again. There are parking facilities on site for those coming by car, and there will once again be an excellent lunch.

The cost of the forum will be the same as the autumn forum at £60.00 + VAT = £69.00 per person, which includes a 2 course lunch, and tea and coffee throughout the day.
