Photos of empty homes for leaflets etc
Hello
We are designing leaflets and information packs and I am looking for a solution to how best to get a picture of a delapidated empty.
The graphics data base used here has limited appropiate images.
Google images are of too poor quality or in the wrong format.
Also I am reluctant to use one taken from the street locally as at this early stage I don't think appropite enough relationships have been built with owners, and I don't want everyone who sees the image to be able to readliy identify the property locally.
how did other do this?
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks

It would be good build a library of photos
I've had similar problems - also with the website. So it would be good to get a little library of copyright-free photos, some before-and-afters, some damaged properties, different ages of properties etc.
If anyone has photos they can guarantee are free of copyright and don't too obviously show where the home is please contact me. With photos you have taken yourself you can simply give permission to NAEPP to distribute the photos and that will take care of the copyright issue.

If you are looking at the angle of showing a wide variety of different property types I can offer 6 storey mid terraced, 15 self contained flats within central London worth over £9million, and a houseboat moored on the Thames at Chelsea!!

We took a photo of a local empty property and flipped it, then we cropped the roof and the sides so that it was unidentifiable. We can send you a copy if you want.

Hi Luke,
At Stoke we use a company called istock which are online and they have thousands of photos which you can buy for a very small prce and they come with the copyright so you can use them again. It take a bit of getting used to when searching cause theres so many so you have to find the right words to use.
We decided not to use any of our empty properties as we felt it would be unfair to the next person who would purchase it.
If your using an design company they should be able to source photos for you
Hope this helps
